she is finally here!

so i know its been a really long time since the last time i blogged but life just got crazy.

towards the end of my pregnancy it got hard. i was just so tired physically and wanted her out.

well my due date was on may 20th and we had a doctor apt that day. so our mid wife checked me and i wasn't even dilated...not even to 1! that was a little disappointing. so she decided to make an apt to induce me which was scheduled for may 26th at 11 pm. on tuesday morning i started feeling some contractions but nothing too big. they say not to go to the hospital till your 3-5 minutes apart so i knew i had time. wednesday came around and they were getting closer but not close enough. that evening i received a phone call from labor and delivery telling me that they were super busy and they would call me when they had a bed open. around 1 am we decided to sleep a little(or at least try to). i was on the couch and brian in bed and all of a sudden my water breaks! i ran to the room and yelled to brian, "my water just broke!" he just jumped out of bed so funny. at that point i knew it was time and we would soon meet our little girl. we arrive at the hospital around 3:45 in the morning. they checked me and i was 1 1/2 dilated! i then knew it was going to be a LONG day. the mid wife decided to start me on pitocin. lets just say that stuff works cause my contractions were coming quick and hard. they then gave me some pain medicine and that helped a little. a couple of hours later they checked me and i was at 5! i could not believe how quick it was happening. at that moment i was so ready for my epidural. i had told myself that i was going to be open as far as a pain reliever but i all i could think about was i need an epidural NOW! i was so tired. finally the anesthesiologist came around 6:30 and i was able to rest. at about noon they checked me again and i was at 9! i could not believe it! at that moment i started to get nervous and excited! 5 minuted later i was at 10 and ready to push. i thought to myself, lets do this im so ready! little did i know how hard it really is. i pushed for about 3 hours and i was ready to give up. they told me one more and that was it...on may 27th at 3:57 pm my little girl was placed on my chest perfect as can be. i was overwhelmed with emotions and love for this little child.

she weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long and with ALOT of hair.

we went home the next evening and it has been such a blessing to have her here with us. we cant wait to see who this little one is going to be. we are so proud of her and love her so so much!

BUT i do know it will be awhile till she has a brother or sister! ha ha
